Kiara Wade

She/Her

Voice

Born and bred in Houston, Texas, Kiara Wade is a multidisciplinary New York-based artist and voice teacher who intends to infuse joy into everything she does. She earned her Master’s degree in Vocal Performance and an Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy at New York University, studying classical voice and musical theatre. She also holds a Bachelor of Music from Southern Methodist University.

Kiara has always had a creative mind and has been a storyteller at heart. Favorite credits to date include Gypsy (Mazeppa), Macbeth (Macbeth), Dialogue of the Carmelites (Madame de Croissy), and Carousel (Carrie Pipperidge). When not onstage, this recent NYU grad enjoys writing poetry, fiddling around with her guitar, and dog-watching in the park.

As a teacher, Kiara’s goal is to facilitate the best environment possible for growth, shameless exploration, and development. Having been exposed to a wide variety of music training, Kiara is confident in teaching pop, classical, musical theatre, R&B, and gospel genres. She seeks for her students to make healthy and sustainable sounds and tell a story and connect to the more significant cause at work when we step up to use our instruments. Kiara firmly believes that failure is a part of forwarding motion. The sky’s the limit when students have good technique and comprehension.
